April is STD Awareness Month
Next month will be STD Awareness Month across the country. The CDC website for STD Awareness has access materials, education tools, and information to help you support STD awareness and prevention events.
SameDaySTDTesting reminds everybody to get STD tested, especially young adults. All females that are sexually active and are under 26 should be tested annually for Chlamydia. Also half of all new STD cases are among people aged 14-24 years old.
Many sexually transmitted diseases do not show any symptoms and that is why it is important for individuals to be aware. The only way to know that you have not contracted a STD is to get tested.
